FEATURE 1

RISK ASSESSMENT SCREENING - This is a standard part of psychological duty of care for participants.  Participants complete a 2-part screening that includes psychological measures and a clinical interview. The purpose of the risk assessment screening is twofold:

1) Provide production executives with written feedback to help with decision-making.

2) Ensure that contestants have an understanding of the psychological risks associated with their participation based on their personal history.

ON-SET SUPPORT/RESIDENT PSYCHOLOGIST - Depending on the needs of your production, I can be the resident psychologist, who can be available during filming to support cast and crew. Some common needs are monitoring for increasing distress or change in functioning, assisting with conflict management, and offering consultation to production executives. As resident psychologist, I may also offer debriefing if contestant/talent is dismissed from the show.

AFTERCARE – This service is considered standard duty of care, especially for entertainment and reality show participants. The focus for this treatment is on processing emotional reactions to production/post-production, elimination (if applicable), encouraging mental wellness, and managing interpersonal distress.

FEATURE 2

SCRIPT CONSULTATION - Beyond creating material that is entertaining, the film and television industry has a unique opportunity to contribute to an audience’s learning and emotional experience.

You may benefit from my script consultation services if your project has a plot that involves psychopathology, therapy, therapists, African Americans, relationship conflict and/or issues related to mental illness/mental wellness. More specifically, I can use my knowledge and expertise in couple and family psychology to help you develop characters that are believable and authentic as they progress through internal or relational conflict in the storyline.

Our consultation will include a discussion about your artistic vision for the project and written feedback (usually 2-3 pages) for your script. The feedback will be both clinical (for educational purposes) and non-clinical so that you can easily incorporate any suggestions.

*Consultation may be of the entire storyline or for specific characters.
